PORT ST. LUCIE — The PGA of America announced a multi-year licensing agreement with The Kolter Group to extend the PGA Village brand and create a new residential club community called the PGA Village Verano in Port St. Lucie.
“PGA Village Verano is a testament to the positive impact of The PGA brand both globally and in our own backyard,” said PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka. “PGA Village Verano will present PGA professionals with new opportunities to enhance their lifestyle, as well as enable consumers to play, stay, live and learn the game.” PGA Village Verano currently has about 70 homes and is immediately south of the original flagship PGA Village. Conceptualized by Kolter Homes, PGA Village Verano is an all-inclusive, full-service luxury 3,000-acre resort-style community.
“The PGA Village has been extremely successful so we anticipate as good or even better success with the Verano property,” said PGA Village general manager Bob Baldassari. PGA Village Verano is in the process of finalizing construction on phase one of Talavera at Club Verano, which provides homeowners with club and other amenities including an indoor pool, outdoor pool, fitness center, aerobics room and luxurious locker rooms. Kolter Homes is a division of The Kolter Group, a private investment firm focused on real estate development, investment and construction. Kolter Homes’ other Treasure Coast communities include Canopy Creek in Palm City, Tres Belle and Lost River Plantation in Stuart and The Oaks in Hobe Sound.
“The Kolter Group is very pleased to be working with the PGA of America again on PGA Village Verano,” said Rick Covell, senior vice president The Kolter Group. “This stunning and friendly neighborhood community offers the perfect balance of golf and club amenities.” As part of the new agreement, golf enthusiasts living within PGA Village Verano will have special access to the PGA Golf Club, which is owned and operated by The PGA of America and features 54 holes of championship golf.
