Recently, our team at PGA Village Verano, our vibrant active lifestyle community in Port St. Lucie, had the honor of participating in "Hope in Action." Through this initiative, we were able to provide a much-needed washer and dryer to a remarkable family. While this deserving family doesn't reside within our PGA Village Verano community, our residents and team are deeply committed to making a positive impact on the broader Port St. Lucie area. We firmly believe that by extending a helping hand to families in need, we strengthen the entire fabric of our local community.
A Grandmother's Courage and a Family's Need
This family's story truly touched our hearts: a courageous grandmother selflessly took in all nine of her grandchildren with very little notice. Suddenly, she found herself responsible for a household of eleven. She's doing her absolute best on a fixed income, but managing such a large household without essential appliances presented an incredibly challenging daily burden. Imagine the monumental task of handling laundry for eleven people without a dryer – it's a significant drain on time, energy, and resources.
Knowing the immediate and pressing need for a clothing dryer, Kolter Homes, in collaboration with Place of Hope, stepped in to help. This essential donation alleviates a significant daily burden for this grandmother, allowing her to focus her precious time and energy on what matters most: providing a stable and loving environment for her grandchildren.
