Connection Beyond the Courts
A Shared Experience Across Communities
The Cresswind Kolter Cup may begin with pickleball, but the experience extends well beyond the final point. The fourth annual tournament brought residents from communities across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina together at PGA Village Verano in Port St. Lucie for several days centered on recreation, friendly competition and time spent with neighbors from across the Southeast.
With more than 250 players competing in 588 matches, the tournament offered a larger stage for something that already happens every day within many Kolter Homes and Cresswind 55+ communities : residents coming together around shared interests and turning recreation into meaningful connection.

Eight Communities, One Weekend
Community Pride Meets Friendly Competition
Residents arrived in Port St. Lucie representing their home communities, ready to compete alongside neighbors and against players they may only see during events like the Kolter Cup. The result was an atmosphere shaped as much by community pride and camaraderie as by the competition itself.
Among the communities represented were Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes , Cresswind Lakewood Ranch and Cresswind Palm Beach at Westlake . Together with PGA Village Verano and the other participating communities, residents created a tournament experience that reached well beyond any one neighborhood or state.
That regional connection is part of what makes the event distinctive. Residents may return home to different communities across the Southeast, but the Kolter Cup gives them an opportunity to share one experience, represent where they live and build relationships with people from other Kolter Homes communities.
From Everyday Play to a Regional Tradition
Pickleball Becomes a Reason to Connect
A casual game at home can lead to regular playing partners, new friendships and eventually the chance to represent a community at an event like the Kolter Cup. The tournament shows how a shared interest can grow into an experience that brings residents together both within their own neighborhoods and across communities.
From Home Courts to Tournament Weekend
How Community Recreation Becomes a Shared Experience
The path to the Kolter Cup often begins much closer to home. Regular games, resident clubs and time spent with neighbors create the foundation for a larger event where players can compete together and represent their community.

The Host Community
PGA Village Verano Brings the Tournament Together
The 2026 Kolter Cup returned to PGA Village Verano in Port St. Lucie, where the community’s pickleball facilities provided the setting for hundreds of matches throughout the tournament.
Competition on the courts was only one part of the weekend. Players and residents also had opportunities to spend time together away from the action, culminating in an awards celebration inside Club Talavera .
The combination of competition and social connection gave the event a natural rhythm, moving from matches during the day to a shared celebration that brought players and residents together at the close of the tournament.
The Bigger Picture
A Lifestyle That Extends Beyond One Community
One of the most meaningful parts of the Kolter Cup is that the experience does not stop at the boundaries of a single neighborhood. Residents from different communities and different states can come together around the same activity while bringing the identity and friendships of their own community with them.
That connection reflects a broader emphasis on lifestyle programming within many Kolter Homes communities. Recreation, clubs, events and gathering opportunities give residents ways to participate based on their interests, whether that means competing on the court, cheering from the sidelines or simply spending time with neighbors.
Kolter Homes is an award-winning homebuilder creating thoughtfully designed communities across the Southeast. Events such as the Kolter Cup offer one example of how the experience of living in a community can extend beyond the home itself.
