Canopy Creek Area Information

Schools

Raising your family at Canopy Creek not only means being part of a great neighborhood but also means having convenient access to a brand new elementary school opening for the 2008-2009 school year. This new school, Citrus Grove Elementary, is within walking distance and is located just outside Canopy Creek on the northeast corner of the community. In addition to Citrus Grove Elementary, Canopy Creek's children will also attend Hidden Oaks Middle School and South Fork High School. Martin County schools are among the best in Florida and have earned great ratings from GreatSchools.net, a widely respected independent nonprofit organization. Martin County's high school graduation rate is 86.8 percent.

Beaches, Boats and Fishing

Forty miles of the world's best sandy beaches stretch along the Martin County coast. Sparkling Cerulean cays and deep water inlets follow the Intracoastal north from historic Hobe Sound, to charming Stuart and Jensen Beach. Why not snorkel just off shore to visit one of the famous Treasure Coast wrecks or experience the mesmerizing colors along the reef? And fishing? How about some Snapper, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, or Wahoo? Martin County is world famous. The ocean sport fishing in the nearby Gulf Stream is just part of the reason Stuart is known as "The Sailfish Capital of the World"!

Shopping and Dining

The area is alive with its own collection of fashionable shops, intimate boutiques, antique stores, art galleries and restaurants. There's also music and entertainment. Even "live" theatre! Stuart, Florida's downtown area is one of the reasons people who visited decided to call Florida home! If designer labels are your preference, visit the world renown Gardens Mall, a short drive to the South, where you can find designers from Tiffany's, Nordstroms, Bloomingdales and 160 other shops and restaurants
